Hello my name’s John Szram, I’m 31 years old. I was born, raised and still live in Lancaster, England.
My surname comes from my grandad and is the Polish equivalent of the German name Schramm and is pronounced the same way.
I was educated at the prestigious Lancaster Royal Grammar School but dropped out, shortly before graduating, to pursue my interest in music. I have played in local bands, toured the UK and Europe and enjoyed a brief stint at LIPA.
These days I rarely play guitar, Internet Business is my passion. A remark on my school report, of which I was once most proud, now seems quite ironic:
“Obviously Economics can not compete with playing the guitar.”
I have never been interested in a career in the traditional sense and I spent a long time drifting between dead end jobs to fit around my music. If I could play guitar and cover the bills I was happy.
I’ve worked as an evening shift porter, night merchandiser, supermarket shelf filler, night time sales assistant and an assistant manager of a frozen food department. More recently, I accidentally discovered I was a top performing I.T. Salesman.
I’m stubborn, fiercely independent and insanely determined, yet I’m also quite shy and a deep thinker. I’ve been described as quirky, something of a maverick and just plain weird, but who wants to be normal?
I like problem solving, I always crave more knowledge and with Internet Business there’s no shortage of things to learn!
Internet Business
I started to learn everything I could about Internet Business at the beginning of August 2007. In fact as I write this it’s almost exactly a year to the day when I started.
Back then I knew nothing. I had previously sold a few items on eBay and knew my way around Microsoft Office but those were the sum total of my computer skills. I had no formal training, no business knowledge, no knowledge of marketing, no contacts and definitely no resources, since I was unemployed and $30,000 in debt!
I made some expensive mistakes along the way but the experience I have gained has been invaluable. I’ve taught myself HTML, CSS, a little PHP and many different Internet Business and Marketing Stratgeies.
I now run this blog, design and build websites and market various products online. I am also a moderator of Lee McIntyre’s Standing Start Profits forum.
If I’m to be a salesman then I want to sell something wothwhile, like education. My personal aim for the future is to create a product line that will help you start your own Internet Business and perhaps avoid the mistakes that beginners make. I want to brush up on my copywriting skills and look to build further systems into my business for greater leverage and to enjoy more free time!
In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, reading, long walks and listening to Internet business audios on my ipod, occasionally playing guitar and Xbox360 video games.
I’m extremely passionate about Internet Business and helping others to get started online or to simply improve their existing business. My aim is to prove that anyone can make money online given they know how to market. If I can do this, you can too.
